Yes experiencing low pH after adding Pure Blend Pro is completely normal. In it’s concentrated form Pure Blend Pro is very acidic which helps the product to remain stable during storage and maintain the original composition and quality of the formula.
Plastics, like ubiquitous plastic pots, are used to grow all kinds of food. But these plastics are not designed to store or serve food. Our trays are made from extra thick, high-impact, ABS plastic and have a smooth finish for easy cleaning.
Organic means derived from compounds like manure, compost or worm castings, rather than inert compounds like minerals or salts. We process minerals and salts after they are mined to deliver liquid fertilizers that are immediately accessible as food for your plant roots and which run clean without clogging hydroponic equipment. Many of our products also contain organic compounds in addition to minerals. Some of our products are completely organic and OMRI listed, but all of our products are designed to be as natural as possible. We believe a more important question to ask is whether or not a product is contaminated with pesticides or toxic compounds. Our products are not.
Sweet contains 3 different forms of carbohydrates; sucrose, fructose, and glucose. These simple sugars are highly available and digestible; therefore, simultaneously using additional sources of carbohydrates is unnecessary.
No: Hydroguard will not burn plants. Although not harmful to plant growth when used at higher rates, Hydroguard is extremely concentrated and the recommended dosages are more than sufficient to achieve maximum effectiveness.
Hydroplex is extremely concentrated and may cause burns if used in excessive amounts. Each 1 ml of Hydroplex will increase your nutrient strength by 50 – 60 PPM (.7 scale). For this reason we recommend a dosage of 2 ml – 5 ml depending on plant variety, grower experience, and environment. Usually 2 ml per gallon is more than sufficient to obtain excellent results.
Yes you can foliar spray with Cal-Mag Plus and it is a great way to quickly correct deficiencies during the vegetative and transition phases. We do not recommend applying any product via foliar spray late into the flower cycle when growing tight flowers, as excess moisture can lead to mold and mildew. Apply at the rate of 5 ml (1 tsp) per gallon a maximum of twice a week.
We do not recommend this when growing in soil or coco coir, since it will kill off beneficial microorganisms that your plants need in the rhizosphere (root zone) to thrive. It is definitely counter-productive to use hydrogen peroxide with any of our products containing living, organic micro-organisms as it will kill them off.
Yes: Hydroguard is compatible with all beneficial fungi species contained in ZHO.
Silica Blast can be used as a foliar spray at lower application rates. To prepare a foliar spray, mix 2 ml of Silica Blast into one gallon of water, and spray no more than 2-3 times per week.
Yes. Sweet can be used during all phases of growth. Using Sweet in the early vegetative cycle may help keep plants from stretching or becoming soft stemmed when exposed to excess nitrogen. This is one way in which Sweet can help produce more desirable internode spacing which is key to maximizing yields.
Sweet contains significant levels of magnesium; therefore, it is not recommended to continue using it during the flushing stage as the objective is to leach any remaining mineral salts away from the root zone.
Yes all 3 Pure Blend Pro formulas are water soluble and can be used in any type of hydroponic system.
Yes, it is safe to use air stone filtering with no anaerobic bacterial issues. Rhizo Blast is clean-running and won’t clog pumps or airstones.
Rhizo Blast is completely safe to use with tap or well water.
All Botanicare coco is pre-buffered and rinsed before packaging to eliminate any salts. If you do wish to rinse Cocogro, use R.O. water and a 2:1 ratio of water to coco by volume to flush the soil before planting.
Yes, always add Clearex, mix thoroughly and adjust the pH before applying Clearex to any grow medium.
Rhizo Blast is completely soluble and will work to feed roots even in applications that use no growing medium like aeroponics.
You will always to have to check your pH and adjust it to ensure best uptake of nutrients and the highest health of your plants because of constantly changing growing conditions.
With most hydro growing methods, check the pH and PPMs of your nutrient solution every time you feed, or every other day. With soil, be sure to check the pH of the run-off solution, too. With drip systems, or to be the most thorough, you should also check the grow medium itself. For instance, with rockwool, squeeze from where most roots are present (middle or bottom of the grow medium) and test pH of the resulting liquid. Be sure to check during the day as levels can vary from day to night.
The natural esters in Sweet are easily absorbed by the plant, but are not broken down futher once deposited within the plant tissue. This means that as new flowers develop they will contain small amounts of these natural esters which contribute to the overall flavor and aroma of the finished product.
A: The bacteria in Hydroguard are designed to decompose organic matter.
B: Beneficial bacteria rapidly colonize the root zone.
Essentially, they are the same, however Hydroplex surpasses the standard of the traditional 0-50-30 and contains inputs not found in powdered flower boosters. Hydroplex contains the same ratio of P to K as a 0-50-30 (1.6 to 1). The main difference, and why the NPK’s seem so different is because of concentration. In a highly concentrated liquid form, a dry 0-50-30 becomes a 0-10-6 like Hydroplex. Although the concentration of PK is slightly lower, this enables us to fortify Hydroplex with organic plant extracts, amino acids, and other compounds that enhance both size and quality. It’s not only what’s applied, it’s what’s absorbed!
Rhizo Blast is a blend of nutrients for root growth. Hydroguard provides plants with a beneficial form of bacteria called Bacillus Amyloliquefaciens that was selected specifically for its superior ability to enhance the symbiotic relationship between the roots and their surrounding medium.
Cocogro is naturally aged, buffered with calcium nitrate.
Each 5kg bales requires 3 – 4 gallons of water to fully hydrate depending on slight variances between bricks.
We recommend changing out your reservoir water completely every 7 – 10 days. Even though you can top off evaporated water by measuring and not exceeding overall PPMs, you can’t measure the ratio of different nutrients left in the water after plants have used part of them up. (For instance, plants may need / deplete more nitrogen during some growing stages.) The only way to ensure optimal growing success is to know exactly the ratio of NPKs you’re feeding by starting fresh with a fresh batch of nutrient solution.
After using Clearex to flush the medium resume regular feeding with your next scheduled watering to avoid nutrient deficiency or imbalance.
Rhizo Blast lowers pH slightly – it is acidic. As standard protocol, we recommend using filtered RO water for hydroponic growing. Mix product into water in the proper ratio before testing the pH level. For most plants, pH level should be between 5.5 – 6.5.
Rhizo Blast will raise your PPMs. Be sure to test the total PPM of the complete mixed solution before adding into your system to make certain it is at recommended levels.
We recommend covering your nutrient water reservoir with a white lid to decrease light and therefore decrease the likelihood of unwanted algae, bacteria or fungal growth. Keep your room and water at the coolest recommended temperature for your plants. Clean your reservoirs between crops and plant stages of growth. You can use bleach or hydrogen peroxide to clean them, but rinse well to remove all cleaning product residue before growing again.
CNS17 Ripe is a complete base formula. Replacing CNS17 Bloom with CNS17 Ripe during the final two weeks before harvest reduces nitrogen while maintaining phosphorous and potassium within ideal ranges. This specialty formula encourages the plant to focus energy on ripening and swelling it’s fruits and flowers.
Due to its high PK value it is not advised to use a bloom stimulant with CNS17 Ripe as doing so may cause an imbalance. Bloom stimulants are safe with all other CNS17 formulas.
The beneficial bacteria in Hydroguard is compatible with products containing both live and sterile enzymes and will not be harmed if used in combination.
No: Hydroguard contains beneficial bacteria which is killed by H2O2 on contact.
Yes: Hydroguard performs extremely well in all medias and growing environments.
Pure Blend Pro is not organic and is not to be used in organic crop or organic food production.
Pure Blend Tea is not organic and is not to be used in organic crop or organic food production.
If you are growing in a system that re-uses nutrient solution, like with the ebb and flow method, you may experience a lot of evaporation. You can “top off” or replace this evaporated water by adding a diluted-down 20 – 25% strength solution of nutrient water. Remember that you will have no way of knowing how much of each nutrient (like nitrogen) has actually been used by the plants (and is therefore depleted in the reservoir water.) We recommend completely changing out and replacing all the nutrient solution every 7 – 10 days so you know exactly the ratios you are feeding the plants.
The short answer is, no. Some products like Pure Blend Tea and Liquid Karma are fairly similar, but they were developed for different reasons. We recommend Pure Blend Tea be used with KIND to add aromas, and Liquid Karma be used with Pure Blend Pro base nutrients to add additional nutrients
Clearex is meant to assist in leaching and flushing minerals from within the grow medium and should be mixed with fresh plain water.
